I Made This
As most fannish people do, I've picked up and put down a lot of different fannish projects over the years. I'm currently working on three projects on an ongoing basis:
- ConneXions is the relaunch of a DC area slash con. First one is August 14-16, 2015
- I Saw Three Ships, which is a fannish Secret Santa. Running roughly from early October thru mid-January, people offer and request stories about threesomes.
- The Remix Duello is a remix challenge where, instead of selecting from someone's entire oeuvre, you are constrained to work with a single story they have pre-selected for you. I have only done it once, but it went well, and I will probably run it again this June.
- Ladies' Choice is a collection that I maintain on the Archive of Our Own, which celebrates the sexual agency of female characters. It's been sadly back-burnered for a bit, but I intend to go back to reviewing and approving stories.
There's also some things I've worked at on and off which don't properly constitute a project, but which I work at on a long-term basis, a little bit here and there.
- I make 100x100 icons, appropriate for Dreamwidth or LiveJournal accounts.
- I've read some podfic and I encourage (to the point of occasionally bidding in charity auctions on it) people to create podfic of my fanfiction.
- I make themes for Dreamwidth.
- I answer Dreamwidth support and other forms of Dreamwidth volunteering
- I have sometimes volunteered with the Organization for Transformative Works, working on the website committee and as a tester on An Archive of Our Own.
There are also projects that I am now finished working on, but which may still be of historical (or prurient!) interest.
- We Invented the Remix, the original popslash remix
- Doc Santa, a Grey's Anatomy Secret Santa
- Farscape/Archive I'm going to import this archive to the Archive of Our Own, as soon as the Open Doors project begins hosting old archives
- The Family Ficathon
- The Slasher Hanky Code
